Reinstall or restore Outlook Express 6 in Windows XP

Outlook Express 6 is a part of Internet Explorer 6 and there is no separate download available for the same.
If Internet Explorer is installed on your computer and you are unable to find Outlook Express or launch the application, please use these steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Step 1: Use msimn.exe to start Outlook Express
1. Click "Start" -> "Run"

2. Type "msimn.exe" (Without quotation marks) in the blank field and then click "OK"

If you can start Outlook Express with msimn.exe, please perform the following steps to create a shortcut icon on Windows desktop.


Step 2: Create a shortcut of Outlook Express

1. Click "Start" -> "Control Panel".

2. Click Folder option.

3. Click "show hidden files and folders", in the View tab.

4. Click "Start", point to "Search".

5. Click "All Files and Folders" and click "More Advanced Options" and make sure the following options are checked:

-Search System Subfolders.

-Search Hidden files and folders.

-Search Subfolders.

6. In the "All or Part of the File Name" box, type "msimn.exe" and click "Search".

7. Right-click the msimn.exe file to select "Send to" -> "Desktop (create shortcut)".
