How to determine the version of an installed 2007 Office language pack

Method 1: Use Control Panel
Windows XP or Windows Server 2003To determine the version of the installed language pack and to determine whether updates or services packs are installed for the language pack, use the Add or Remove Programs feature in Control Panel. To do this, follow these steps:

1. To determine the version of the installed language pack, follow these steps:

a. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
b. Click Add or Remove Programs.
c. Click Change or Remove Programs.
d. In the list of currently installed programs, click the 2007 Office language pack.
e. Click the Click here for support information link to determine the version of the installed language pack.

To check for installed updates or service packs that are installed for the language pack, follow these steps:

a. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
b. Click Add or Remove Programs.
c. Click Change or Remove Programs.
d. Click to select the Show updates check box.
e. In the list of currently installed programs, locate the 2007 Office language pack. Any installed updates or service packs for the language pack are listed underneath the language pack.


Windows Vista

To determine the version of the installed language pack and to determine whether updates or services packs are installed for the language pack, use the Programs feature in Control Panel. To do this, follow these steps:
1. To determine the version of the installed language pack, follow these steps:

a. Click Start , and then click Control Panel.
b. Click Programs.
c. Click Programs and Features.
d. In the list of currently installed programs, click the 2007 Office language pack.
e. Click Organize, point to Layout, and then click Details Pane.
f. Examine the Details Pane at the bottom of the Programs and Features window to determine the version of the installed language pack.

2. To check for installed updates or service packs that are installed for the language pack, follow these steps:

a. Click Start , and then click Control Panel.
b. Click Programs.
c. Click Programs and Features.
d. In the Tasks pane, click View installed updates.
e. Any installed updates or service packs for the language pack are listed underneath the language pack.
