Make MIDI files play as background music in Outlook Express 6

I would like you to know that to make MIDI files play as background music in Outlook Express:

1. Make sure you have Windows Media Player installed. If you don't, download and install it with default settings.
2. Check the SW Synth or MIDI Synth volume in your volume control panel. Make sure it is not set to zero or muted.

Please follow the following steps on your computer to make MIDI files play as background music in Outlook Express:

1. Select Control Panel from the Start menu.
2. Select Tools Folder Options... from the menu.
3. Go to the File Types tab.
4. For the MID and MIDI extensions:
· Highlight the file type.
· Click Change under Details.
· Select Windows Media Player under Opens with.
· Click OK.
5. Now click Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices.
6. Select Sound and Audio Devices.
7. Go to the Audio tab.
8. Make sure Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth is selected under MIDI music playback.
9. Click OK.
