Receiving an error message as "error 1722" while installing Microsoft Streets & Trips 2008

To be informed that the 1722 error message is a general installer error message that states that a system level failure has occurred. I will be glad to provide you the steps to resolve this issue.

kindly follow the steps given below:

a. Click the Download the Software Licensing System Reset Tool package now link to start the download. Or, click the following link:

b. When you receive the File Download dialog box, click Save. Save the file to the desktop.

c. When the download is complete, double-click the MSKB928080 file on the desktop. In the Security Warning dialog box, click Run, and then click Yes to accept the license agreement.

d. Click Unzip. When you receive the "2 Files unzipped successfully" message, click “OK”, and then click “Close”.

e. Click “Start”, click “Run”, type “cmd” in the Open box, and then click “OK”.

f. Type “cd\” at the command prompt, and then press “Enter”.

g. Type “cd MicrosoftKB928080” at the command prompt, and then press “Enter”.

h. Type “resetsldl –all” at the command prompt, and then press “Enter”. Make sure that there is a space between "resetsldl" and "–all."

i. After you receive the "Re-creating clean trusted store. Success" message, close the Command Prompt window.

j. Restart the computer, and then try to install Microsoft Streets & Trips 2008.
